Mitch Smith is the senior pastor at Sharon Baptist Church in Chinquapin, North Carolina. Mitch is committed to his calling of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and has an earnest love for the local church and what it can be when it follows its biblical purpose of reaching the lost and equipping the saved to disciple others. Mitch has been involved in many missional efforts over the last 10+ years throughout the U.S. as well as disaster relief efforts with Baptists on Mission. His heart for the lost and dedication to the gospel is evident in his preaching and Mitch is a firm believer that the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ is something worth being excited about. 

Mitch completed his undergraduate work in Religion with a minor in Christian Counseling at Liberty University as well as his Masters of Arts in Theology and Masters of Divinity at Liberty University School of Divinity. In 2019, Mitch felt strongly the Lord was leading him to continue his education at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently in his second year of the Doctoral program for Church Revitalization.

Mitch was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina where he worked in his family business until being called into full-time ministry in 2009. Mitch and his wife Kimberly have been married for 23 years and are committed to serving the Lord together in ministry.
